Old, Unused Medications Accepted This Saturday In Lexington
Police and the city want to remind the community that an upcoming event will help families safely get rid of old and unwanted medicines.
The ‘Med Toss’ event will be held Saturday, September 27th in Lexington.
It was designed to offer people a safe and environmentally friendly way to toss out prescription and over-the-counter medicines.
The medications could be dropped off during a drive-thru event at Kentucky American Water at 2300 Richmond Road.
The Med Toss was scheduled to be held rain or shine from 10:00a.m. to 2:00p.m.
Medications would also be accepted at Lexington Police headquarters downtown on Main Street, and at the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office on North Limestone.
