Old Medication Collected During “Take Back” Day
It was a drug roundup across the state on Saturday.
Kentucky State Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration held its "Take Back" initiative.
Sites were set up across the state for people to turn in their unused or expired medication.
KSP and the DEA said it’s an effort to get potentially dangerous medication out of home medicine cabinets and help keep it off the streets.
The program began in 2010 and since that time has collected over 3,400 pounds of prescription medication.
