Old building turned into military museum, event venue
ASHLAND, Ky. (AP) — New owners have turned a historic building in Ashland, Kentucky, into a military blast from the past.
The Old Post Office has been made into a military museum that boasts space for events.
It has been a longtime ambition for owners Marshall and Pat Steen. Marshall Steen has a passion for military memorabilia and artifacts. Now he wants to share much of that with the community.
The museum is filled with artifacts dating from the Revolutionary War to the Indian wars. The walls in the museum are covered by racks of hanging guns from various time periods, and there are cannons in the middle of the floor. The museum also has flags from around the world during times of war and various uniforms.
