Ohio man charged in fatal Henry Co. crash
CAMPBELLSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police say an Ohio man has been arrested and charged in connection to a fatal traffic collision that occurred on I-71 in Henry Co. on March 13.
According to troopers, 21-year-old Corey Shores, of Dayton, was arrested in Ohio on a warrant from Kentucky State Police. Officers say evidence was recovered from Shores’ electronic vehicle recorder that revealed he was driving in excess of 100 miles per hour prior to the accident that killed Andrew Persanyi. Furthermore, officers say initial investigation uncovered drugs in Shores’ vehicle.
Shores has been charged with reckless homicide, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He is scheduled for an arraignment in Henry Co. on April 11.
