Ohio man accused of murdering infant arrested in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – An Ohio man who authorities say killed his 2-month-old son was arrested in Lexington over the weekend.

Lexington police say 27-year-old Cody Colwell was taken into custody on Saturday on a fugitive warrant out of Warren County, Ohio.

According to WCPO in Cincinnati, Colwell is facing charges of murder, felonious assault and child endangerment.

Earlier this month, Colwell’s son, Cayden, was found not breathing and rushed to the hospital where he died.

The cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head, according to WCPO.

WCPO reports Colwell is also accused of abusing his 3-year-old son, who was found with bruises on his shoulder, cheek, neck and abdomen.
