Officials spraying for mosquitos in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — The Lexington Health Department is out spraying for mosquitoes in the 40502 zip code area.
Health officials decided to take action after a mosquito trap on Henry Clay Boulevard showed an increase in mosquito activity.
As previously reported, the CDC warns that mosquito bites can lead to several diseases, including West Nile virus and dengue fever. Residents in the affected area are advised to take precautions and stay indoors during spraying times.
