Officials searched the Ky River for missing man

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Franklin County Sheriff says multiple police and fire agencies spent all afternoon searching the Kentucky River for a missing man.

According to investigators Thursday night the missing 26-year-old man told his family he was going fishing.

When he didn’t come home his family started searching for him behind his place of employment, Buffalo Trace Distillery.

The man’s vehicle was found in the area and a flashlight was floating near where they say he could have slipped in, according to deputies.

The search for him will continue on Friday morning.
