Officials: Puppies abandoned after being set on fire in Lexington, none survived
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Fayette County Animal Care and Control is reporting a horrific case of animal cruelty after a litter of puppies was set on fire and abandoned near the side of a road in Lexington.
Officials discovered thirteen puppies on Wednesday near the intersection of Todds Road and North Cleveland Road, where they had been deliberately set on fire. Tragically, the only puppy that survived, has passed away from the ordeal.
Investigators are urging anyone with information on the suspect to call the police or contact Animal Care and Control.
