Officials: Pilot swam to shore after crash landing on Laurel Lake

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)-Investigators are trying to figure out why a plane crash-landed tonight on Laurel County Lake.

Officials say it went down around 6:50 between Holly Bay Marina and the dam.

According to investigators, the pilot was the only one board at the time. Officials say he was able to swim to shore and wasn’t hurt.
