Employees: Donation Bank stolen from the Lexington Humane Society
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A donation bank was stolen from the Lexington Humane Society, according to employees.
The Lexington Humane Society says a doggie bank was stolen from the Adoptions Center on Monday. They are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man who they say stole it.
According to the humane society, there was an estimated 50 dollars in the donation bank and they say with donations being down 25% already this season, every dollar makes a difference.
Officials say he left in a blue vehicle.
Their monthly operating expenses to provide for the 400 animals currently in our care is $188,000, according to the humane society.
