Officials: At least two injured in fiery semi-truck crash on Bluegrass Parkway

UPDATE 2: Anderson County Fire Protection District tells ABC36 News Now that two people were taken to the hospital with injuries. Right now, they say there are no reported fatalities.

UPDATE: The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reports that one person is confirmed dead in the semi crash.

 

ORIGINAL STORY:

ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky.  (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — According to a post by Anderson County Fire Protection District, a semi-truck caught fire near the 48-mile marker on Bluegrass Parkway around 6 a.m.

Officials say the parkway is shut down between the 42- and 48-mile markers. The roadway is expected to be shut down for several hours as crews work on the scene.
