Suspect In Tennessee Remains On The Loose And Could Be In Kentucky

Lexington, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Putnam County Justice Center is asking for help finding a man in connection to the shooting of an Algood police officer.

Floyd Cook is driving a 2001 Ford F-150 pickup truck with Kentucky tags and a blue University of Kentucky Wildcat license plate on the front. Putnam County police believe Cook was later in a shootout with officials in Cumberland County, Kentucky, before escaping.

According to police, Cook is wanted for felony warrants out of Kentucky and is considered armed and dangerous.

Kentucky State Police are focusing on the Dale Hollow Lake Area.

If you see Cook’s vehicle, police are urging you to not approach but to call the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office at 931-528-8484.
