Officer involved in Lexington accident

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington police say one of their own was involved in a crash Monday night.

It happened on Harrodsburg Road and and Man O’ War Boulevard at around 8:30 p.m.

Police say an officer was distracted and went through a red light at the intersection, hitting the side of another car.

There was significant damage to the police cruiser and the other car.

Police say no one was hurt.
