Officer Involved In Knox County Crash

State Police are investigating a crash in Knox County involving an officer.

Police said Officer Wendell Hunter was driving on U.S. 25 East in a Crown Victoria Sunday around 8:30 p.m. when he collided with a  Ford Taurus, driven by Ricky Simpson, 30.

Hunter and Simpson were taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries, according to police.

Part of the road was closed for around three hours while the crash was being investigated.
