Officer fatally shoots man involved in domestic dispute

ELSMERE, Ky. (AP) — Police say a northern Kentucky officer has fatally shot a man involved in a domestic dispute.

Kentucky State Police Lt. Rick Saint-Blancard told WCPO-TV (http://bit.ly/1ggT9yr) that an Elsmere officer fired at the man after arriving Thursday night at the scene of a stabbing. Saint-Blancard said a woman at the residence was alive when the officer arrived, but later died.

He declined to release the identities of the man, woman or officer.

State police are handling the investigation, which is routine for officer-involved shootings.
