Officer Daniel Ellis Memorial 5K to be held in April
RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ)- You better start your training now for the 3rd Annual Officer Daniel Ellis Memorial 5K Run/Walk.
The event will be held on April 28, 2018 in Richmond, KY.
The race starts at 8:30 that Saturday morning at the Richmond Center Mall.
Racers will receive commemorative shirts, there will be chip timing and awards for overall and age group, as well as a DJ and post race food.
A student rate will be offered to any students 18 years old or younger who will be participating in the 5K run/walk in Richmond.
The student rate will not apply for those participating in the “Virtual Runner/Walker” category.
There will be a “Virtual Runner/Walker” category offered to those living outside of Central Kentucky who want to run/walk their own 5K the weekend of April 28-29th.
This is for those who wish to honor Officer Ellis and other fallen officers and heroes.
Proceeds from the 5K will benefit the Daniel Ellis Foundation.
This foundation will support area causes, charities, and individuals.
