Stuffed Animal donation drive successful, for children in need
CORBIN, Ky. (WTVQ) — Hometown Bank conducted a stuffed animal drive this past October, to supply the Corbin Police Department with some cuddly friends to give to children who have been in traumatizing situations.
According to Corbin Police, children involved in, or witness to disturbances are often scared or upset. Stuffed animals not only have a calming effect on children; they help with the healing process as well. Cruisers will be equipped with a stuffed animal or two, two be given away anytime an officer deems it necessary.
The Corbin Police Department says they would like to thank Hometown Bank for their help, and for the generous donations of stuffed animals.
