Oak Ridge Boys member, Joe Bonsall, dead at 76

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Joe Bonsall of the Oak Ridge Boys died early Tuesday (7/09).
According to a social media post the band put out about his death, they say that Bonsall passed away from complications of ALS.
Bonsall had been a part of the group for more than 50 years, and recently retired from performing in January due to his illness.
With 17 No. 1 country songs, the Oak Ridge Boys were elected to the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2000.
Bonsall was also inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame with three of his other group members in 2015.
The tenor voice of the group is survived by his wife, two daughters, and grandchildren.
