North Maysville Road, US 460 to undergo infrastructure work
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a new infrastructure project for Mt. Sterling in Montgomery County from Monday, March 24 through Friday, June 25. This project, scheduled from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. on weekdays, will affect North Maysville Road/US 460.
The City of Mt. Sterling was awarded a Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) grant for $157,757.00. The grant will assist with improving the infrastructure and a sidewalk network. In addition, bicycle and pedestrian paths will be constructed along North Maysville Street.
This is a Local Public Agency (LPA) Project.
There will be three main impacts to travelers’ commute between Terry Drive and Maysville Avenue: an extended closure will be in effect for the southbound lane, the “walkway” will be closed with “sidewalk closed” signage and temporary signal phrases and flaggers will be utilized to assist motorists through the work zone.
All work, and closures are subject to change depending on the weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
