Nonprofit started in Ethan the dog’s name
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) — A nonprofit was started in Ethan the dog’s name nearly two years after his miraculous recovery at the Kentucky Humane Society.
EthanAlmighty’s Blessings was announced Monday by Ethan’s dad, Jeff.
The foundation’s goal is to help animals in the area.
“I have seen it too many times working at KHS. People who have encountered an emergency or immediate veterinary medical situation that they can’t afford. Maybe it’s a surgery. Maybe they just need a couple more days in care and have run out of money. And the choices are euthanasia or surrender. For your sweet, beautiful furry family member, these aren’t good choices.
EthanAlmighty’s Blessings sees the need. We feel the heartache. We want to help these animals stay in their home where they belong. EthanAlmighty’s Blessings will help bridge the gap between what can be afforded and what is needed,” Jeff wrote on Facebook.
EthanAlmighty’s Blessings is a 501c3 nonprofit.

In 2021, Ethan was left abandoned and near death at KHS.
The next year, he won the overall American Humane Hero Dog award.
