Non-life threatening injuries in Lexington car, bicycle collision

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police in Lexington are piecing together the cause of a crash between a car and bicyclist that happened around 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday.

Officers say a Chevy Malibu was traveling on New Circle Road headed towards Newtown Pike.  According to investigators, a man riding a bicycle near the intersection of Russell Cave and New Circle crossed the road and was hit.

Police say the bicyclist did not have the right of way.

The man on the bike was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No charges have been filed in the incident.
