No-Kill Shelter Gets Financial Boost
A no-kill animal shelter in central Kentucky received a financial boost over the weekend.
A benefit was held at Natasha’s in downtown Lexington.
Among the items that were sold at the "Natasha’s Cares Benefit were autographs from celebrities Mariah Carey and the late Whitney Houston.
The manager of the shelter began it on his front porch.
He said every penny counts when it comes to keeping the shelter going and he appreciates the support.
"To see everyone come out and have the same vision that I have – to be the voice for the voiceless – and we truly mean that," said Mark Hunt. "We want to be a voice for the voiceless and care for the unwanted animals."
