No. 11 Kentucky women drop their third straight game; lose at home to Georgia

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — The Kentucky women’s basketball team dropped its third straight game Sunday, falling to the Georgia Bulldogs 72–67.

The Wildcats got off to a slow start, trailing 21–12 after the first quarter, and were unable to overcome the early deficit.

Amelia Hassett and Asia Boone led Kentucky in scoring with 15 points each. Jordan Obi added 12 points, while Tonie Morgan finished with 10.

Kentucky received just six points from its bench in the loss.

The Wildcats return to action next Sunday when they travel to Fayetteville to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks (11–10, 0–6 SEC). Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. on the SEC Network.
