Nicholasville service dog up for national award
NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – The 2019 Service dog of the year from Nicholasville is now a finalist in the 2019 American Hero Dog award.
Her name is Alice and she belongs to a 13-year-old boy named Antonio.
Antonio’s mom told The Lexington Herald Leader, Alice is the family’s guardian angel and helps keep Antonio safe.
Antonio was shot in the head in 2015. Now he suffers from seizures. Alice helps break his fall.
