Nicholasville Police suspect son’s involvement in woman’s death
NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ)- Nicholasville Police believe Lucas Greene had something to do with his mother’s death before they say he took his own life last week.
According to the department, the state medical examiner’s findings showed Elizabeth Morgan had injuries to her neck that were consistent with her being choked, though they’re unsure if those injuries caused her death.
Morgan was found dead at her Pin Oak Road home on March 28th. Police initially investigated her death as suspicious before finding her missing car near the Jessamine/Mercer Co. line.
While searching for Morgan’s son, Lucas Greene, police found a body which was later identified as Greene. According to the medical examiner, Greene took his own life.
Nicholasville Police say they are “fair confident that Greene likely had something to do with or contributed to his mother’s death.” They also say all the information is not in as of this time.
Police say additional evidence at the scene indicated a safe in Morgan’s home containing certain medications had been broken into and the drugs were missing. Police are awaiting a toxicology report on Greene.
