UPDATE: Nicholasville PD identifies suspect in Precision Auto Care thefts
NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Detectives with the Nicholasville Police Department says that help from the public contributed to identifying a suspect seen on surveillance cameras stealing from cars at the Precision Auto Care on Macarthur Court.
According to officers, the man is Michael Scott Bishop from Lexington.
Officers say the surveillance footage they released was viewed thousands of times on social media, and helped lead to Bishop’s identification. Bishop’s case will be heard by a grand jury. He is currently in the Fayette Co. Detention Center, arrested on June 25th for failing to appear on a parole violation.

Police in Nicholasville are searching for two people they say stole items from a car repair business.
Officers say a man and a woman stole car stereos and other equipment from cars parked at Precision Auto Care on Macarthur Court.
They have released video from that parking lot, taken on June 17.
In the video, a four-door car arrives, then a man exits the car, and starts stealing items.
