As we all know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and we here on Midday Kentucky will be talking about it all month. Today, we welcomed Dr. Mullett and Dr. Taylor to the show to help us and our viewers understand exactly how Genetic Counseling can have a beneficial impact on the treatment process!

Only 30% of women who have had breast cancer under goes reconstructive surgery,  it is better to meet with  your oncologist and general surgeon first to come up with a plan.

Today, we were joined by Dr. Benjamin McQuaide, who explained the importance in diagnosing breast cancer at an early stage.  With use of mammograms and other technology, doctors are able to help with early diagnosis.
