New traffic pattern, intermittent closures on US 421 in Harlan County

HARLAN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The state is warning drivers of a new traffic pattern on U.S. 421 in Harlan County.

As part of a flood mitigation project, traffic will be directed onto the newly constructed section of U.S. 421, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

Intermittent lane closures should be expected through Friday, June 14, 2019, according to the state.

The new traffic pattern and intermittent lane closures began on Wednesday, May 29, 2019.
