New Numbers From Statewide Crackdown On Underage Drinking
The Kentucky Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control’s ‘Cops in Shops’ program to crackdown on underage drinking has yielded good results since it began in August, according to the agency.
Citations were written for possession of alcohol by a minor, possession of a forged instrument and assisting a minor to purchase alcohol, among others.
The ABC reported that 94 underage possession citations were issued.
The ABC also increased its presence at tailgating events across Kentucky.
