New member named to Urban County Council

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington has a new councilmember for the 7th District.

Lexington Mayor Jim Gray has named Preston Worley to the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Council

Gray made the announcement Thursday morning.

Gray says Worley has a strong record of community service and neighborhood involvement.

The 33-year-old Worley is an attorney at Brayer, McGinnis, Leslie and Kirkland and is a graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Law.

He replaces Jennifer Scutchfield, who resigned last month to take a position with the Kentucky State Board of Elections.
