New lights strung in downtown Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Downtown Lexington Partnership, Lexington Fayette Urban County Government, and VisitLex  partnered to string lights on Short Street between Upper and Mill, between Main and Short Street.

The Downtown Lexington Partnership says visitors can safely walk through the streets at night. The addition of a new section of lights is part of an overall effort to improve the customer experience in the district.

The owner of Centro, Aimee Lanza says the lights bring needed visibility to the area’s businesses and make the district even more walkable.
