New Frontier to host second annual Giving Tuesday concert

MOREHEAD, Ky. (WTVQ/Press Release) – New Frontier, a Morehead-based sustainable fashion brand, is gearing up for the second annual Giving Tuesday concert featuring Sundy Best.

New Frontier CEO Joshua Ravenscraft and COO Jared Ravenscraft attended the “Local Legends – Trust Your Spirit” event in Nashville on Nov. 5 hosted by Wild Turkey at the Virgin Hotel Rooftop Bar. The invitation-only, private concert and networking event recognized 100 individuals deemed “Local Legends” from Kentucky and Tennessee as part of the upcoming “Trust Your Spirit” campaign.

When interviewed by the Wild Turkey team, COO Jared Ravenscraft described more of the brothers’ story to advance fashion in Appalachia.

“We see ourselves as underdogs at New Frontier in being from Eastern Kentucky & Appalachia, disrupting the fashion industry from central Appalachia rather than L.A. requires leaning into your gut feeling and spirit daily to push forward through dark times,” said Ravenscraft. “At the end of the day, that’s our competitive advantage, our gut, our spirit, our feeling, that’s all we have at the end of the day, and that is why New Frontier and Wild Turkey are standing here together.”

Wild Turkey also recognized the Ravenscraft’s commitment to local arts and culture. New Frontier started their first annual Giving Tuesday concert in November 2020 in partnership with the eastern Kentucky-based band Sundy Best to great acclaim.

The second annual pre-recorded, streamed concert is set to premiere on Tuesday, Nov. 30. The concert will be streamed on Sundy Best’s Facebook page on Nov. 30 at 8 pm. Proceeds from the streamed event will be reinvested in the Eastern Kentucky community with a non-profit partner, Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky.
