New details released on officer accused of misconduct

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – New details have emerged about a Lexington police officer accused of harassment and official misconduct.

According to police, Officer James Norris arrested a man on Jan. 13.  A summons obtained by ABC 36 says Norris is accused of pushing that suspect into the back wall of a police patrol wagon, while the suspect was handcuffed and wearing a transport hood.

The police department relieved Norris of his duties with pay on Jan. 22 while the legal process continues.
