New details released in arson, robbery case

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Court documents are revealing new details about the suspect police say set fire to a home and, a few days later, shot and robbed a man.
27-year-old Adam Duff was arrested on Tuesday on Breckenridge Street after a short foot chase with police.
Court documents say Duff was at a home on Leestown Road on September 18th when he got into a fight with a woman and chased her into a room. The victim is a caregiver for an elderly man, who was in the room. The victim told police Duff tried to kick down the door then left, saying he was going to set the house on fire.
According to court documents, Duff went into a downstairs room and set a fire.
The victim jumped out a second-story balcony. The elderly man inside was trapped and had to be rescued by passers-by, according to documents.
A firefighter was injured battling the fire and had to be taken to the hospital.
Documents say Duff also robbed a shot a man at a home on September 20th.
Police say Duff showed up at a home on Warfield Place, where some people were playing cards.
Documents say Duff demanded money from the victim. When he didn’t get it, he took out a gun and shot the man in the knee, hit him with the gun then took money from his wallet.
Duff is charged with two counts of attempted murder, wanton endangerment, arson and robbery.
