New charges filed against woman in gruesome Robertson County murder

ROBERTSON COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Torilena Fields, 32, faces fresh charges including murder and animal cruelty, after not appearing in court today due to not being served with the new indictment in time. According to ABC affiliate WCPO, the charges relate to the brutal killing of her 68-year-old mother, Trudy Fields, whose dismembered body was found behind their home in Mount Olivet.

Authorities detail that Trudy was fatally shot in the head and then stabbed multiple times by her daughter. Further horrifying details reveal that parts of her body were found in a pot inside an oven at their residence. The scene also contained a blood-stained mattress and evidence of the body being dragged.

An autopsy on Trudy Fields’ remains was scheduled for Friday.
