Car donated to family of victim injured in Lexington shooting
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington family received a very special gift on Wednesday, that will hopefully help them put behind an extremely painful memory.
The family of Antonio Reese, the boy who was seriously wounded in a shooting last year, received a 2015 Chrysler Town & Country from Dan Cummins car dealership.
On Wednesday, a message appeared on the gofundme page Reese’s family set up, stating, “Today has been a blessed day – today out of the blue the family received a gracious and generous donation of a new car.”
According to the family, for a little over a year now, they’ve been driving the same car Antonio was shot in, causing no small amount of discomfort and stress.
The family is now re-focusing their attention on getting Antonio a service dog. Their gofundme page sets at just over $8,000 dollars, with a goal of $20,000.
