New baby giraffe at the Louisville Zoo
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Louisville Zoo is celebrating the birth of a new baby giraffe. The zoo announced that the calf was born on Friday, weighing 160 pounds and standing over six feet tall.
The baby giraffe’s parents are Kianga, a seven-year-old female, and Baridi, an eight-year-old male. This marks the first giraffe birth at the Louisville Zoo since 2012. The zoo is excited to welcome this new addition to their giraffe family.
