Nerve agent vapor detected at Blue Grass Army Depot

RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – Chemical crews detected a GB nerve agent vapor emission in a storage igloo at the Blue Grass Army Depot in Richmond, according to Blue Grass Chemical Activity.

The munition was placed in a single round container and moved to a separate igloo on November 14, 2017.  It was monitored for three days with no agent detected, according to BGCA.

Crews say the public was never at risk.
