Nerlens Noel Drafted 6th, Traded To 76ers
Former Kentucky Wildcat Nerlens Noel was projected by many NBA draft experts to be the overall No. 1 pick in Thursday night’s NBA Draft.
Instead, the 6-foot-10 Noel was taken 6th overall by the New Orleans Pelicans and then traded to the Philadelphia 76ers.
Noel averaged 10.5 points and 9.5 rebounds and blocked 106 shots as a freshman at UK.
He continues to rehabilitate his surgically repaired knee. He tore his anterior cruciate ligament in a game at Florida and missed the remainder of the season. He had surgery March 12th.
The 76ers still have not hired a new head coach two months after Doug Collins resigned.
