Nelson County: Copper Theft Causes Power Outage
Kentucky Utilities said copper was stolen from a power substation in Nelson County, knocking out power to more than 1,200 customers.
The outage left people without air conditioning on a day when temperatures soared to 100-degrees and above.
KU said the power was expected to be back on by late Thursday night.
The outage was in the Bloomfield and Fairfield areas.
