Need-To-Know For The Snow
Crews in Lexington were out in numbers on Monday making sure they were ready for Tuesday morning’s snow.
“We had the crews out checking their snow areas to make sure there were no potential hazards from last year,” Lexington Streets and Roads Manager Rob Allen says. “We’re checking the equipment to make sure it is working properly.”
Streets and Road crews even started putting salt brine down Monday morning as a precaution. The water mixture helps to keep ice from bonding on steep hills and bridges.
Along with snow crews, Lexington Police are putting more officers on the street this morning. They are prepping for more accidents because of the slick roads.
