NCAA commission works to end one-and-done era

INDIANAPOLIS (AP)- A panel tasked with reforming college basketball says the NCAA should work to end the one-and-done era and punish coaches and programs that cheat more harshly.

NCAA President Mark Emmert hopes legislation to implement some recommendations made by the Commission on College Basketball can be voted on in August.

It’s time for independent investigations for complex cases involving potential NCAA rules violations.

The commission proposing reforms to college basketball wants change to the NBA’s age limit.

An independent panel’s two-year review of corruption in tennis has found that the sport “faces a serious integrity problem” at its lowest levels.

The Commission on College Basketball took a pass on taking a strong stance about whether college athletes should be able to cash in on their names, images and likenesses, but Condoleezza Rice’s remarks to the NCAA suggested she thinks it is good idea.
