Nashville shooting suspect arrested in Western Ky. county

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVQ) — A Nashville man accused of murder was arrested in a Western Kentucky county last week.

On Thursday, Nov. 9, Tyrone Harris was arrested in Christian County, about three hours southwest of Fayette County, according to ABC affiliate WKRN.

The 73-year-old is accused of shooting and killing 60-year-old Bruce Woodland outside a home on Combs Drive.

After the shooting, Harris reportedly stole the homeowner’s vehicle and drove away. He was found on Nov. 9 in that same vehicle in Christian County, where he was arrested on vehicle theft and other local charges, according to investigators.

Police said Harris admitted to shooting Woodland during a recorded phone call from jail.

He will be returned to Nashville in the near future.

He’s charged with terroristic threatening, resisting arrest, and fugitive from another state in Kentucky.
