Murray man charged with felony thefts

Murray, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police say a Murray man is behind bars for stealing, then selling, large equipment.

Investigators say in early January, State Police began getting calls about someone selling stolen items.

They say the equipment was being sold in Kansas, North Carolina, Vermont, Texas, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, and Ohio.

Investigators say 37-year-old Matthew Crawford sold about $750,000 worth of stolen equipment.

Crawford is charged with five counts of theft by deception under $10,000, five counts of theft by deception Over $10,000, and four counts of theft by failure to make required disposition.

Crawford was booked into the Calloway County Jail.
