Murray man arrested in child sexual abuse material investigation

CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A Murray man has been arrested following an investigation into the distribution of child sexual abuse material.

According to Kentucky State Police, 32-year-old James Kylen Johnson of Murray was taken into custody after investigators determined he was allegedly sharing illegal images online.

Troopers say a search warrant was executed at a residence on March 10, where electronic equipment was seized for further analysis by the KSP forensic laboratory.

Johnson is charged with four counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance involving a child under 12.

Authorities say Johnson is currently being held at the Calloway County Detention Center.

The investigation remains ongoing.
