Murder suspect wanted in Tennessee arrested in Georgetown without incident

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — A person wanted in connection with a murder case in Tennessee has been arrested in Georgetown, according to the Georgetown Police Department.

Police say the department’s Special Response Team, along with patrol officers, K9 units, and drone operators, coordinated the arrest. The suspect was wanted on a probation violation tied to a murder charge in Tennessee.

Authorities confirmed the arrest was made without any incident, use of force, or property damage.

There were brief traffic disruptions along South U.S. 25 during the operation, but no additional issues were reported.

The suspect’s name has not yet been released. Georgetown Police did not provide further details about the original case in Tennessee.
