UPDATE: 15-year-old shooting victim may have been caught in crossfire
GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – New details are emerging in the shooting death of 15-year-old Morgan Penn, according to reports from the Associated Press.
The news service now reports that investigators say 27-year-old Michael K. Davidson did not intentionally fire at the mobile home where 15-year-old Morgan Penn was sleeping on Saturday. Police believe she was a victim of crossfire.
Davidson, a resident of Georgetown, is charged with murder in the case, and also faces parole and probation violations.

27-year-old Michael Davidson, accused in the shooting death of 15-year-old Morgan Penn pleaded not guilty in court on Tuesday.
Police say Davidson shot Penn inside a trailer at the Parker’s Mobile Home Park in Stamping Ground early Saturday morning.
Davidson’s bond has been set at $100,000 dollars.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for September 8 at 1:30 p.m.

A suspect accused of fatally shooting a teen will appear in court Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators say Penn was shot and killed inside a trailer at the Parker’s Mobile Home Park in Stamping Ground early Saturday morning.
Troopers aren’t releasing many details, but say they don’t consider this a random shooting.
Penn’s funeral will be Thursday at 10a.m. at Tucker Yokum Funeral home in Georgetown. There are also several go fund me pages in her name to help the family pay for funeral expenses.
