Multiple commercial vehicles crash, closing I-65

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (AP) — Southbound Interstate 65 north of Elizabethtown is closed down due to a crash involving multiple commercial vehicles.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says traffic is being detoured at Exit 105, south onto Kentucky 61 and back onto I-65 in Elizabethtown. The cabinet said the closure is expected to last four hours or more.

Northbound traffic is moving slowly in the area, and heavy rain moving into the region is expected to make driving conditions more difficult.

Expect slow or stopped traffic in the area. Southbound motorists should consider taking U.S. 31W or U.S. 31E from Louisville south to Elizabethtown.
