Multicultural Night – Rosa Parks Elementary School

Principal of Rosa Parks Elementary, Leslie Thomas, as well as parent and physician Priya Warner, come by the studio to talk about an upcoming event at the school, that celebrates their student body’s rich and diverse cultures.

Thomas says the classrooms all include children from different areas of the world representing multiple countries and cultures, and that the school works hard to make sure all students and families feel welcome.  This year, Rosa Parks Elementary is taking that diversity a step further by share these multiple cultures with all of school families during a Multicultural Night on Thursday, March 16th!

A committee of diverse families will be sharing and displaying their home cultures over the course of the evening, with students kicking off the event with a Parade of Nations.

The evenings festivities will start at 6:00 p.m., with the event going on until 7:45 p.m.
