LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – There probably isn’t a better place than horse country to learn about being a mounted police officer.

Riders from law enforcement agencies across the country, are training this week at the Kentucky Horse Park for the 32nd annual Mounted Police Colloquium.

Officers are learning new techniques and sharing ideas with each other.

The Lexington Mounted Police Unit is this year’s host for the event.

The colloquium is open to the public.
